Mayor Andy Letham visits Langton!

It all started when Ms. Mathers attended David Sazuki’s Blue Dot Movement tour in October. She was motivated to educate her grade 3 students about the environmental movement to have a clean environment added to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Joined by Ms. McMurray’s grade 2/3s, the students began researching and writing letters to our municipal councillors, school trustees and the Mayor! With a petition signed by everyone at Langton, the students were ready to present their questions to Mayor Letham. After a heartfelt presentation by the grade 2s and 3s, Mayor Letham signed the petition and agreed to take it to council in an effort to continue the movement. We are proud of you Ms. Mathers, Mrs. McMurray and the grade 2s and 3s! For more information, please check out the Blue Dot Movement at www.bluedot.ca
